Scratch Golf: A Different Kind of Golf Experience
729 Granite St, Braintree, MA 02184
Indoor golf. Moving floors. Real lies. Tour-level tech. Premium bays. Food and drinks. No weather delays.
For Ken and Tyler, golf has always been about more than the game. The couple met at a golf course, built their lives around the sport, and eventually found themselves looking for a way to keep golf in their lives year-round.
That idea became Scratch Golf — a new indoor golf experience in Braintree featuring Golfzon’s TwoVision NX technology, eight simulator bays and more than 300 virtual courses
A Pleasant Surprise
Choosing a location is a big decision for any new business, and for Ken and Tyler, Braintree had another pleasant surprise waiting for them.
“We were actually very nervous when we received our first electric bill. We couldn’t believe how low the rates were! It definitely confirmed that we made the right decision in choosing Braintree as the home for Scratch Golf.”
More Than a Simulator

Play Beyond Braintree
Golfzon’s network lets players compete against golfers at other facilities and locations around the world.
Scratch Golf features eight Golfzon simulator bays, each designed to deliver a remarkably realistic golf experience. High-speed cameras track every shot, while multiple hitting surfaces and moving platforms recreate different lies and course conditions. Golfers can also instantly review their swings and shot data, making it a great place to play, practice and improve.
Golf. Year-round. Right here in Braintree.
Please note: Scratch Golf does not offer club rentals. Guests must bring their own golf clubs.
When a Pro Stops By
Scratch Golf even caught the attention of LPGA professional and Golfzon-sponsored athlete Yana Wilson, who stopped by following the FM Championship at TPC Boston.
After seeing the technology in action, Yana shared a thought that says a lot about just how far indoor golf has come:
“I wish I had this growing up.”
For today’s junior golfers, weekend players and anyone looking to improve their game, technology like this offers a whole new way to practice, play and have fun.
Golf Without the Six-Hour Commitment
For Ken and Tyler, Scratch Golf is also about making golf easier to fit into everyday life. A traditional round can take most of a day once you factor in travel, traffic and time on the course. Indoor golf changes that equation — especially during the winter months when getting outside isn’t always an option.
At Scratch Golf, golfers can play 18 holes in about an hour, making it easier to squeeze in a round after work, meet up with friends for a couple of hours, or keep swinging when the weather turns cold. And, as Tyler points out, there’s no sunburn, no rain and a lot less time away from home.
You can play 18 holes in about an hour.

Scratch Golf is designed to be as social as it is competitive. Friends can meet up for a few holes, families can spend time together, and golfers can join leagues or challenge friends through Golfzon’s network.
The space also offers room for corporate events, private parties and group outings. Some customers even make Scratch part of a night out — grabbing dinner first and then heading over for a couple of hours of golf.
Golf. Friends. Food. Drink. A little friendly competition.
Sounds like a pretty good night.
What’s Next?
Fall leagues are underway at Scratch Golf, giving local golfers a chance to get familiar with the system, meet other players and enjoy some friendly competition. And as temperatures drop, Ken and Tyler expect winter to bring even more golfers through the doors.
For Scratch Golf, the goal is simple: create a place where people can play, practice, compete and spend time together — right here in Braintree, all year long.
