Locally sourced, organic, natural, and always plant based

Shubert Provisions is all about bringing healthy and organic options to the community while also being mindful of the planet. They offer an extensive assortment of beans, grains, spices, herbs, oils and bath products like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. They also stock some yummy Grab-N-Go lunches, locally made donuts, freshly brewed coffee, and beer from local breweries around New England.

Keith has an unwavering passion for organic and natural foods which led him to open a brick-and-mortar storefront in Braintree after successfully operating a plant-based food truck in Somerville for over a decade.  He wanted to bring something new to the table while still providing the best quality organic and natural foods to meet the growing demands for healthier food options.

Keith’s wife Liz is a registered nurse and shares his dedication to healthy living. Together they opened Schubert Provisions in July 2023 and love it. They wanted a location closer to their home in Quincy and after realizing how low Braintree’s electric rates are and how involved BELD is in the community, they were sold! We must say, we can’t blame them. 😉

Between Keith’s passion for great tasting organic, plant-based foods and Liz’s background in healthcare, they are the perfect duo for creating a local hot spot for sourcing healthy foods and products.

Liz is passionate about bringing their vision to life and enjoys seeing it flourish. She has shared her love for plants by introducing various plants, herbs, and succulents throughout the store.  Shubert Provisions customers can now bring home a piece of nature to enjoy.

“We’re totally not just for vegans or vegetarians— we’re a store for everyone! We’re all about using less additives and preservatives, and we even have candy!” —smiled Keith.

Keith loves hearing from customers and is open to new product suggestions. If you have any ideas, please be sure to share them; they just might end up on a shelf!  Don’t forget to bring in your own containers to save money and play a significant role in promoting sustainability and reducing single-use plastics.

Check out Shubert Provisions, Keith and Liz are extremely welcoming and enjoy meeting people from the community, so please stop in to say hello!
