Fasano’s Marketplace: a ‘one-stop shop’ for specialty foods, deli, bakery

Fasano’s Marketplace is a specialty foods boutique run by a family with more than 60 years of history in Braintree’s food industry.

Co-owners David and Ralph Fasano are brothers and entrepreneurs who opened the shop in 2022. Their other business, Fasano’s Catering, has been in operation for decades. “We’re Braintree people. This community has been so good to us,” said David.

Located in Braintree Square, the marketplace offers deli sandwiches, a soup and salad bar, butcher items, prepared foods, bread and bakery items, specialty and imported retail foods, and catering for groups of 10 to 20 people.

What’s the Fasano family’s secret to success?

“We’re always listening to our customers. We want to know what they think, and we always evolve,” said Ralph.

Fasano’s Marketplace shares its building with South Shore Bank‘s Face2Face virtual teller service and 24-hour ATM in Braintree Square. “South Shore Bank is fully committed to supporting the local economy and the great entrepreneurs that make up this very special town,” said Jim Dunphy, CEO of South Shore Bank. “Partnering with Fasano’s Marketplace to open their Washington Street location made a lot of sense to us. Their family business delivers quality food and customer service, and their presence in Braintree plays a key role in the community’s vibrant food scene.” (Photo: Sarah Welch DeMayo)
