Crispy, caramelized, and compact, bar-style pizza has its origins in the pubs and watering holes of Massachusetts’ South Shore. Joe Keegan loves bar pizza, and long before he opened Bosss Bah Pizza in Braintree, he lovingly honed his own recipe not in a restaurant, but in his kitchen at home, cooking for his wife, children, and friends every Friday night.

ELECTRIC-POWERED OVENS: The owners looked at commercial spaces in several towns before deciding on Braintree. “One morning the power went out as we were prepping for the day. A tree went down and took a line out, but BELD had the power back up in a hour. We thought, ‘If this was National Grid, we would’ve had to close the business today.’ We knew we made the right call to open in Braintree.”
